A couple of days ago I logged in and I'm told my submissions violated copyrights, weren't made from "scratch" and got all deleted with no notice whatsoever. I'm pretty pissed off; all my works were fanart and I made it obviously clear it was such, and I didn't trace nothing. Damned if I'll know, but the only thing I did with my drawings was basing them on popular series. I don't know what to make of this because I still have all my favourites which are mostly fanart from other members.

I even got an original deleted because it violated copyrights when there aren't ANY to violate. I sent two messages and got no response for the second one. I'm still trying to get things corrected, but it seems moot.

What hurts me the most is that after so much time and having my submissions securely uploaded in DA (years), I never expected them to get deleted and were my only copy. I'll never get those back, and I most certainly would have liked at least a warning to save them. I loved DA and all but if this is how they treat their members I rather go somewhere else.

Has anyone gotten their submissions suddenly deleted or is it just me and an admin with too much time in their hands?

UPDATE: well fiddlesticks! Even if you don't make any profit, credit respective copyrights or owners and MAKE EVERYTHING FROM SCRATCH it's still a violation of rights and you can get your submissions deleted because you didn't ask permission (I'm sorry, I don't know how to speak Japanese to ask the original owners for permission). What's the fanart sections for then? I was hoping on at least getting my submissions back but I see it's going to be pointless. I won't submit anything here anymore, I'm just gonna stick to watch all the other people post "copyright violated fanart" (which I still love) and find a new place to submit my own.
